What We’re Looking For We’re on the lookout for a passionate and motivated Summer Design Intern to join our AOL Product Design team. In this role, you’ll collaborate with designers and other teams to create user-centered, intuitive designs with a strong editorial voice. You’ll gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced tech environment and have the chance to learn from experienced professionals. Key Responsibilities: • Work closely with the product design team to develop user-friendly interfaces for web and mobile apps. • Contribute to the design process by creating wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups. • Join brainstorming sessions, design critiques, and team meetings to refine ideas. • Help improve and implement design systems to ensure consistency across different products. • Support the team in gathering and organizing feedback from stakeholders and users. • Assist in preparing presentation materials and communicating design concepts to both technical and non-technical teams. Qualifications: • Currently studying Graphic Design, Interaction Design, Product Design, or a related field. • A strong portfolio showcasing your design work (class projects, personal work, freelance projects, etc.). • Experience with design tools like Figma, Adobe, or similar software. • A basic understanding of user-centered design principles and methodologies. • Great communication and collaboration skills. • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. • A positive attitude, eagerness to learn, and a willingness to contribute to the team’s success. The compensation for this position ranges from $24-$52/hr and will vary depending on factors such as your location, skills and experience.
