Within the Materials Product Design organization, we are seeking an accomplished Materials Engineer with notable expertise Ceramics. Could this be you? Description Description In Materials Product Design, we strive to exceed industry standards by demonstrating creativity in problem-solving, mastery of manipulating material properties and processes to optimize performance, and the ability to deliver material solutions with intricate specifications. As a Materials Engineer specializing in Ceramics, you will work with an extraordinary team of materials experts to help develop and implement high-performance ceramic materials and processes for a wide range of Apple products. Working closely with multi-functional teams and external vendors, you will determine the best materials and processes to meet the stringent requirements for future products. The role entails close collaboration with multi-functional partners in Product Design, Manufacturing Design, and Reliability, as well as external vendors, to develop and optimize ceramic compositions and manufacturing techniques to meet Apple’s rigorous functional and aesthetic requirements. Technical proficiency, the capacity for cross-team collaboration , project management, and exceptional interpersonal skills are all essential for this position.

Minimum Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications • BS/MS/PhD in Materials Science, Chemistry, Physics or Ceramics Engineering • 5+ years experience in ceramics industry • Demonstrated ability to independently drive projects, and deliver products • Excellent communication, organizational and leadership skills.
