Pharmacist - Specialty Pharmacy - Fulfillment

About the position The position involves ensuring the accurate dispensing and delivery of medications to patients at Ochsner Health. The pharmacist will provide drug information, oversee fulfillment team members, counsel patients, and maintain inventory and logs, all while adhering to proper procedures for medication shipment and delivery. Responsibilities • Provide drug information to patients and healthcare providers. , • Oversee the fulfillment team to ensure complete and timely receipt of medications. , • Counsel patients on drug therapy compliance. , • Maintain inventory and all logs related to medication dispensing. , • Ensure proper procedures are followed in the shipment and delivery of medications. , • Perform patient assessments and manage refills. , • Conduct drug utilization reviews and product verifications. , • Communicate with insurance companies, patients, providers, and the specialty pharmacy team. , • Maintain documentation relevant to the job. , • Assume responsibility for professional development and continued education. Requirements • Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy required. , • 2 years' experience as a pharmacist required. , • License to practice Pharmacy in the State of Louisiana required. , • Computer skills for data entry and retrieval of patient information. , • Effective verbal and written communication skills. Nice-to-haves • Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) preferred. , • Experience in specialty pharmacy preferred. , • Experience with chronically ill patients preferred. , • Multi-state licensure preferred. , • Strong Excel skills.
