Interim Director of Accounting - HEALTHCARE INDUSTRY, REMOTE!

LHH is partnering with a PE-backed, multi-site healthcare services company to find an experienced Interim Director of Accounting. This is a 3+ month contract role offering $55-$65 per hour and is perfect for an accounting leader who thrives in fast-paced, dynamic environments. This is a fully remote opportunity—work from anywhere within the United States (Central or East Timezone). Job Responsibilities: • Lead the month-end close process to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting. • Drive improvements in accounting processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy. • Provide strategic guidance during system implementation, working with cross-functional teams for successful integration. • Manage and mentor a team of accounting professionals to ensure deadlines are met and performance goals are exceeded. • Support ad-hoc financial reporting, analysis, and process optimization projects as needed. Minimum Requirements: • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting. • 8+ years of relevant accounting experience. • Prior experience as an Accounting Manager, Assistant Controller, Director, or Controller at a multi-site healthcare company. • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel. • Available to start immediately. • Must reside in the United States (Central or East Timezone). • Ability to commit to a 3+ month full-time position.
