Job Type: Full-Time Contract Pay: $36/Hour Key Responsibilities: • Instructional Delivery: Develop and deliver comprehensive online English language lessons tailored to students’ proficiency levels, using various digital tools and resources. • Curriculum Development: Design, adapt, and implement an engaging curriculum that aligns with educational standards and meets the diverse needs of students. • Student Assessment: Monitor and evaluate student progress through assessments, assignments, and participation, providing constructive feedback and support to help students achieve their language learning goals. • Personalized Support: Offer individualized instruction and support to students, addressing their specific challenges and needs in learning English. • Virtual Classroom Management: Maintain an orderly and interactive virtual classroom environment, ensuring all students are engaged and actively participating. • Communication: Maintain regular communication with students and parents/guardians to provide updates on progress, address concerns, and offer guidance on language development. • Professional Development: Stay current with best practices in virtual teaching and ENL methodologies, participating in ongoing professional development opportunities. Qualifications: • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Education, TESOL, Linguistics, or a related field. A Master’s degree or advanced certification in TESOL/ESL is a plus. • Experience: At least 2 years of experience teaching English as a New Language, preferably in an online setting. • Certification: Valid teaching certification in ESL/TESOL (New York State certification preferred) or equivalent credentials. • Technical Skills: Proficiency with virtual teaching platforms (e.g., Zoom, Microsoft Teams), educational technology, and digital classroom tools. • Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, ability to create a supportive and engaging learning environment, and proficiency in using digital resources for instruction. • Traits: Patient, adaptable, culturally sensitive, and dedicated to student success and inclusion.
