About the Role of Lead Teacher We are seeking an experienced and passionate Lead Teacher to join our team in Anniston, AL. Key Responsibilities
- Provide and maintain a safe, warm, and inviting classroom environment that is clean and organized, adhering to all minimum licensing, quality rated, and/or accreditation guidelines and company standards.
- Communicate daily with families regarding student progress or needs, encouraging partnership and support to ensure the best possible outcomes for our children.
- Encourage parent and community engagement by developing strong professional relationships with children, parents, and colleagues, fostering a sense of belonging and cooperation.
- Maintain a high-quality standard of care for every child, utilizing our science-based, proprietary curriculum and suggested supplement activities to create a fun and engaging learning environment tailored to each child's developmental needs.
- Prepare and serve meals and snacks for children, ensuring their nutritional needs are met and promoting healthy eating habits.
- Keep daily records, including attendance, child portfolios, USDA documentation, and other records required by local agencies, maintaining accurate and up-to-date information.
- Contribute to your center's success by partnering with team members and leadership to achieve goals around enrollment, accreditations, and family engagement, working collaboratively to drive excellence.
Essential Qualifications
- Genuine warmth and understanding of the needs of young children and their families, with a positive attitude and self-image.
- Strong communication skills with coworkers, parents, and children, with the ability to build strong relationships and work effectively in a team environment.
- 1-3 years of teaching experience or certification (if not, we will help you obtain certification), with a commitment to ongoing learning and professional development.
- HS Diploma or GED required, with a willingness to pursue further education and training in early childhood education.
- Must pass the state-required criminal background check and meet all state certifications and requirements, ensuring the safety and well-being of our children.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in a childcare or early childhood education setting, with a deep understanding of child development principles and practices.
- Knowledge of science-based, proprietary curriculum and suggested supplement activities, with the ability to adapt and implement these in a classroom setting.
