Weekend On-Call Scheduling Coordinator - ONLY RESPONDING TO URGENT CALLS

As we expand our brand, we are looking for an experienced, energetic, and compassionate On Call Coordinator to help us deliver exceptional care and support to our clients and field staff. Our employees provide our clients with total care. These cares may include bathing, dressing, light housekeeping, meal preparation, errands, infusions, injections, wound care, medication management and administration, therapies, and much more! The Weekend On-Call Coordinator is responsible for the overall satisfaction of our employees and clients and overseeing business operations during weekend hours. Ensuring that employee and client calls, requiring an after-hours response, are being handled with urgency. These types of calls may include re-staffing an employee call-off, communicating to a client their employee is running late to a shift, staffing last minute add shifts, accepting new referrals, managing client hospitalizations, and other various incident reports, etc... These types of calls do not include non-urgent calls that may be handled during the next scheduled business hours. These types of calls may include general schedule questions, payroll and benefits questions, candidate/applicant questions, etc... This position builds relationships with caregivers, nurses, clients, families, hospitals, and case managers! Ensuring that employee and client needs are met and that they are receiving the absolute best care possible by continuing our rapid response rate even after the office closes! We are looking for candidates with exceptional customer service skills, extreme urgency, prior scheduling experience, excellent phone etiquette, and someone who can think outside the box! Job Schedule:

  • Preferred: Every weekend beginning Friday at 430pm CST - Monday at 830am CST
  • During this timeframe, you are "waiting to be activated". You are not required to stay home but must be available to take a call and respond with the appropriate action, despite your current location
  • Preferred: Every Holiday including New Year's Day, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve (if a holiday occurs over the weekend, it is observed on the following Monday)

Compensation:

  • Guaranteed 20 hours of pay per weekend, hours worked above and beyond 20 hours will be paid hourly
  • Time and a half pay on Holidays worked (guaranteed 4 hours pay per holiday worked not scheduled on a weekend)
  • Additional 1-hour pay on Mondays for attending, and leading, morning huddles to relay weekend on-call events to the admin staff (totaling guaranteed 21 paid hours)

Technology Requirements:

  • Must have a personal laptop or tablet (with wifi capabilities) that can be used for work purposes
  • Must have a personal phone (with wifi capabilities) that can be used for work purposes (you will be provided application logins so your personal cell phone number in not in use. You will always call and text out via the BrightStar phone number)

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma required (associate degree preferred).
  • Knowledge of HIPAA and healthcare office regulations.
  • Excellent organization, planning, and project management skills.
  • Time management and prioritization are key.
  • Ability to multi-task and handle multiple phone lines.
  • Computer skills are a must - Outlook experience helpful!
