Why This Role Matters

As the Senior Customer Relationship Marketing (CRM) Manager, you will be the architect of arenaflex’s most sophisticated, data‑centric engagement programs. You’ll design, launch, and optimize multi‑channel campaigns—email, push notifications, in‑app messages, and direct mail—that deepen relationships with our most active, pet‑obsessed shoppers. Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Roadmap Development: Create and own a multi‑channel lifecycle marketing roadmap that aligns with arenaflex’s growth objectives, with a particular emphasis on email‑driven initiatives for the pet‑food business.
  • Experimentation & Testing: Design, execute, and analyze complex A/B and multivariate tests across email journeys and push campaigns to uncover incremental lift and optimal sequencing.
  • Segmentation & Targeting: Partner with product marketing and data science teams to define list selection criteria, build advanced segmentation models, and ensure accurate tracking across all touchpoints.
  • Data Integrity & Insight Generation: Dive deep into multiple data streams—transactional, behavioral, and demographic—to validate targeting logic and surface actionable insights.
  • Opportunity Modeling: Build sensitivity and risk models that quantify the potential impact of new initiatives, guiding investment decisions and resource allocation.
  • Automation Vision: Collaborate with the experimentation team to craft a strategic vision for marketing automation, championing scalable, real‑time personalization.
  • Personalized Experiences: Leverage CRM data to deliver contextual, one‑to‑one experiences that increase engagement, drive repeat purchases, and boost basket size.
  • Performance Reporting: Own the creation of dashboards, regular performance reports, and deep‑dive analyses that translate campaign data into strategic learnings for senior leadership.
  • Cross‑Functional Partnership: Work hand‑in‑hand with integrated marketing, engineering, product management, merchandising, and supply‑chain teams to ensure seamless execution of campaigns.
  • Industry Thought Leadership: Stay ahead of email, push, and in‑app best practices, emerging technologies, and market trends, and disseminate knowledge across the organization.
  • Advanced Segmentation: Co‑create and implement sophisticated customer segmentation models with the data science team to improve audience targeting and relevance.

Essential Qualifications

  • 7+ years of hands‑on experience in email and/or direct marketing, preferably within an e‑commerce environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Data Analytics, or a related field; a Master’s degree is a plus.
  • Demonstrated passion for customer‑centric marketing and a proven track record of delivering measurable results.
  • Deep expertise with enterprise email service providers (ESP), ideally Braze, and familiarity with push‑notification platforms.
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret large data sets, build statistical models, and translate findings into actionable strategies.
  • Proficiency in SQL, Tableau, and other data‑visualization tools for reporting and insight generation.
  • Experience designing and executing campaigns using a Customer Data Platform (CDP) and email optimization/personalization tools.
  • Solid project‑management skills, including experience with JIRA or similar agile tools, to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, capable of influencing cross‑functional stakeholders with data‑driven narratives.
  • Self‑starter who can operate independently, manage deadlines, and maintain meticulous attention to detail in a fast‑paced environment.
