[Remote] Sr. Site Reliability Engineer

They are seeking a Sr. Site Reliability Engineer to ensure the reliability and performance of Raptive's applications and infrastructure while collaborating with various teams to enhance the deployment pipeline and incident response.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for ongoing reliability and robustness of Raptive’s production applications and infrastructure by monitoring availability, capacity, and throughput for a full-stack delivery team
  • Evolve systems by adding reliability and performance into our applications, infrastructure and roadmap
  • Coordinate to re-prioritize or fix critical bugs for support or sales requirements as needed
  • Core infrastructure tools and frameworks ( Configuration Management, IAM, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, Monitoring, HA, kubernetes, Helm, Flux, etc )
  • Constantly monitor infrastructure vulnerabilities and remedy them by working with the security team
  • Craft and implement processes to reduce friction and enable all team members to spend their time on what they do best
  • Think creatively, work collaboratively, and do whatever it takes to get the job done

Skills

  • Typically, 3+ years of experience working on Site Reliability Engineering or DevOps
  • Must have extensive knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and Terraform, AWS
  • Must have experience in Python or Typescript development as a software engineer/site reliability engineer
  • Experience with Linux operating systems internals and administration
  • Ability to communicate effectively vertically and horizontally within the organization via demonstrated written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience running Infrastructure at scale; utilizing Configuration Management and automation to ensure idempotency, ephemerality, and reliability
  • Demonstrated initiative, autonomy, ability to operate amidst uncertainty, ability to create and document new patterns where none exist
  • Experience with databases such as PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Elasticsearch
  • Working with SaaS products at scale
  • Configuration management such as Ansible or Chef
  • Networking experience (VPC, VPN)
