[Remote] Accounting Lead

Outsource Consultants is a customer experience advisory firm that partners with organizations to improve operations and customer outcomes. They are seeking an Accounting Lead to manage day-to-day accounting operations, focusing on accounts receivable, month-end close, and process improvement.
Responsibilities
- Own accounts receivable: daily invoicing, payment application, AR follow-up, and collections (QuickBooks Online + Zoho CRM)
- Lead month-end close: journal entries, bank reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Handle accounts payable, commission processing, and payroll journal entries
- File 1099s and Minnesota Sales and Use Tax accurately and on time
- Send KPI reports to leadership and proactively flag anything that needs attention
- Identify process improvements and contribute to how the accounting department runs
Skills
- 3+ years of full-charge bookkeeping experience
- QuickBooks Online proficiency required
- Responsive communicator, same-day replies are your default
- Take accountability and pride in the accuracy of your work
- Comfortable managing multiple priorities and deadlines with minimal oversight
- Curious and improvement-minded, you ask questions and bring ideas
- Google Workspace proficient
- Experience with Zoho, HubSpot, or similar CRM is a plus
- Bachelor's in Accounting or Business preferred
