[Remote] Sr. Tableau / Alteryx Administrator

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Newlineinfo Corp is an IT Services and IT Consulting company seeking a Sr. Tableau / Alteryx Administrator. The role focuses on providing end-to-end administration for Tableau and Alteryx Server, ensuring production support and security configurations.

Responsibilities

  • Focus more on Tableau and Alteryx Administrator skills (not developer)
  • Most important – Tableau and Alteryx Administrator work and having a production support mindset
  • Seeking experience on Gitlab (CI/CD), and on Security in Tableau and Alteryx both on EC2 and at platform level
  • Proven end-to-end administration experience with Tableau Server and Alteryx Server, including installation, upgrades, backups, disaster recovery (DR), security configuration, APIs, automation, and firewall
  • Strong understanding of identity and authentication providers, such as SAML, Active Directory, and related integration concepts
  • Solid knowledge of networking fundamentals to troubleshoot server-level and user issues
  • Hands-on experience independently troubleshooting performance issues related to Tableau and Alteryx Server assets, including dashboards and workflows (e.g., performance issues with Redshift-backed dashboards)
  • Working knowledge of Windows and Linux servers
  • Proficiency in scripting and automation using PowerShell and Python
  • Experience with certificate management for Tableau and Alteryx environments
  • Ability and willingness to provide 24x7 production support, including on-call rotations
  • Willingness to learn and expand areas of knowledge
  • Proven responsiveness and communication skills
  • Strong customer service orientation and proactive follow-through

Skills

  • 10+ years of experience
  • Proven end-to-end administration experience with Tableau Server and Alteryx Server, including installation, upgrades, backups, disaster recovery (DR), security configuration, APIs, automation, and firewall

  • Quick-suite – formerly Quick sight
  • Experience with AWS, including VPCs, EC2 instances, networking, and certificate management
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines - GitLab
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform
