[Remote] Media Buyer, Podcast (Temporary)
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Oxford Road is the world’s premier independent audio ad agency, seeking a Media Buyer for their podcast media buying team. The role involves developing and executing client-focused media plans, managing budgets, and optimizing campaign performance while maintaining strong vendor relationships.
Responsibilities
- Develops client-focused media plans with clear strategic rationale and presents them to clients with confidence and clarity, entering finalized plans into Engage with accuracy and attention to detail
- Manages budgets, assesses opportunities, and maintains a rolling opportunities proposal to ensure clients are always positioned for growth
- Leads buying and negotiation efforts while monitoring delivery and optimizing campaign performance in real time
- Oversees campaign execution across assigned accounts, making real-time optimizations as needed to maximize performance
- Handles ad hoc requests with agility and flexibility, adapting quickly to evolving client needs and shifting priorities
- Proactively identifies and flags potential issues, bringing solutions — not just problems — to the team
- Manages campaign verification and reporting, ensuring accuracy and alignment with client goals at every stage
- Communicates performance insights clearly and professionally to internal teams and client stakeholders
- Builds and maintains strong strategic relationships with network partners to drive favorable negotiation outcomes
- Stays at the forefront of new opportunities emerging within the podcast ecosystem, bringing relevant insights and recommendations to the team
- Ensures all vendor-facing communication is professional, timely, and aligned with internal standards
Skills
- 2–4 years of media buying or planning experience, with a track record of managing campaigns end-to-end
- Strong negotiation skills and experience building relationships with media vendors
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail — you take pride in getting things right the first time
- Thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment — comfortable navigating ambiguity and adapting to evolving processes and priorities
- Embodies radical accountability: owns outcomes fully, communicates proactively when things go off-track, and treats every challenge as an opportunity to learn and improve
