Media Experts is a leading full-service media agency delivering integrated solutions for clients. The Buyer, Investments will support the media investment team by preparing budget forecasts, conducting customer audits, and collaborating with various departments to meet agency targets.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and yearly forecasting reports
  • Assist in investigating, explaining, and resolving variances where applicable (current vs. forecast, current vs. prior years, quarter vs. quarter, etc…)
  • Coordinate with the planning/buying teams with regards to forecasts, rates and plans to ensure annual targets and commitments are met
  • Proactively develop knowledge of the media landscape
  • Attend media seminars and vendor presentations as required
  • Take initiative to streamline and improve upon existing processes, providing tangible solutions for on-going and future challenges
  • Assist in the preparation of client billing estimates and reconciliations
  • Assist in solving and clearing billing discrepancies and queries
  • Develop proficiency with media-related tools and research systems
  • Perform other duties/ad hoc projects as assigned which are within the scope of this role

Skills

  • Post-secondary education – bachelor's degree in a quantitative field preferred
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, and strong internal client relationship skills
  • Excellent ability to manage and prioritize time effectively
  • Strong analytical and financial acumen
  • Proactive approach to problem solving, assisting the team, self-development, etc
  • Strong learning agility, with a passion for continuous development
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (i.e. PowerPoint, Microsoft Word, and Excel)
  • Proficiency in Excel tools such as: Pivot tables, XLOOKUP, Power Query, conditional formatting, IF statements, GETPIVOTDATA, etc
