- Conduct comprehensive telehealth consultations to evaluate patient eligibility for Medicare benefits and identify coverage gaps.
- Review medical records, imaging, and documentation within Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems such as Epic or other EMR platforms to support advocacy efforts.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop personalized care plans that align with Medicare guidelines and patient needs.
- Assist patients in understanding their coverage options, navigating complex healthcare systems, and completing necessary documentation for claims or appeals.
- Stay current on Medicare policies, regulations, and updates to ensure compliance and effective advocacy strategies.
- Document all interactions thoroughly within secure health information systems while maintaining HIPAA compliance standards.
- Participate in ongoing clinical research and quality improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing telehealth services and patient outcomes.
Experience
- Medical degree (MD or DO) with active licensure in relevant states or regions. *Being licensed in multiple states is preferred*
• Proven experience in outpatient or inpatient settings with a focus on primary care, family medicine, or geriatrics.
- Demonstrated proficiency with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems such as Epic or similar platforms; familiarity with medical imaging review is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of Medicare policies, billing procedures (CPT coding), and appeals processes related to healthcare coverage.
- Experience in telehealth service delivery, including virtual patient assessments and remote clinical decision-making.
- Background working with diverse patient populations, including seniors, with excellent communication skills tailored for remote engagement.
