Virtual Bilingual High School Educator

Summary

Virtual bilingual high school educator delivering live-streamed instruction in Math, Science, or Social Studies to New York State students. This role bridges digital education delivery with in-class support to ensure equitable access to certified instruction. Responsibilities: Teach district curriculum via virtual platform, create engaging lesson plans, record student progress, attend professional development and faculty meetings, and collaborate with on-site classroom facilitators. Promote student engagement and nurture learning relationships in the virtual environment. Skills: Virtual teaching and student engagement strategies, curriculum planning and instructional design, proficiency in English and Spanish for bilingual instruction, and proficiency with learning management systems and educational technology platforms. Qualifications: Valid New York State teacher certification in Middle or High School Math, Science, or Social Studies; Bilingual Education Extension Certification (English/Spanish) required or willingness to obtain it; Bachelor's Degree from accredited institution. Prior online teaching experience is preferred. Location: Remote - New York Compensation: $325 – $350/day $325-$350 daily rate; Rates are negotiable and subject to change Fully remote, 1099 contract opportunity Valid NYS teacher certification in Middle School or High School Math, Science, or Social Studies is required. And must have, or be open to obtaining, the Bilingual Education Extension Certification (English/Spanish). Monday to Friday. Potential hours 7:20 am to 3:00 pm EST. Teach the curriculum of the school on the district virtual platform, attend district PD + faculty meetings, record student progress, and partner with an in-class facilitator who is physically in class with students. • Must be authorized to work in the United States and have a current NYS teacher certification in Middle School or High School Math, Science, or Social Studies. And must have, or be open to obtaining, the Bilingual Education Extension Certification (English/Spanish).
• Must have a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college/university.
• Laptop or desktop computer, webcam, headset, and reliable internet access.
