Video Specialist and Media Archivist - Joni and Friends - Agoura Hills, CA - work from home jobCompany: Joni and FriendsJob description: DutiesUnder the supervision of the Senior Manager, Video Production and Producer, support the overall objectives of Joni and Friends’ Marketing department. Perform duties and responsibilities including, but not limited to:

• Video Editing• Short promo and documentary-style stories. Effectively create engaging and emotionally compelling videos that communicate the mission and vision of JAF• Interview and talking head-style video messages.

Match JAF branding and visual style in videos that communicate the message of our Founder, Joni Eareckson Tada and other JAF presenters• Short form social media content. As needed, edit vertical, phone content for social platforms. Provide clips and string-outs to the social media team, as requested• Follow direction and implement notes, basic audio mixing and color correction, able to QC one’s own work and deliver media according to department standards. Organize media and projects according to department standards• Familiarity with current editing techniques and social media trends. Familiarity with in-platform features of social channels (captions, sounds, etc.), such as Instagram and TikTok, helpful but not required• Familiarity with uploading and backend management of YouTube and other social media platforms, captions formats, and video file formats• Digital Asset Manager (DAM) Administration – Support the effort to build and maintain a ministry-wide Digital Media Library. This cloud-based database will house media from the Creative Team, Marketing Department, and other JAF departments, making media searchable and accessible to staff and constituents based on permissions. We use the Orange Logic DAM platform. Training on this platform will be provided• Ingest media to the DAM and add metadata. Uploading and downloading large amounts of data• Help build and maintain an organizational structure for media and administer user groups and permissions• Basic problem-solving and troubleshooting of the platform. Work with platform support, as needed• Complete systematic, process-driven work, including entry of basic metadata. Able to QC one’s own work and processes• Process incoming batches of photos from ministry events around the world• Provide support for video productions• Studio Production• Operate studio equipment, as needed, including camera, audio, lighting, and teleprompter• Record basic talking head and interview-style videos to match departments standards• Support the team in maintaining studio organization and tidiness• Field Production• Operate production equipment, as needed, including camera, audio, lighting, and teleprompter• Record b-roll and interviews during field production• Domestic and international production travel may become part of this job, depending on interest and aptitude• Audio-Visual Support – Operate basic AV equipment to support staff events and conferences• Operate equipment in the General Assembly room at the Joni and Friends International Disability Center to support events, including audio, PTZ cameras, slide and video playback, teleprompter, and basic live-stream equipment• Familiarity with basic audio mixing for live events beneficial• Domestic travel for AV support at major conferences and events may be required, based on aptitude• Other Responsibilities• Basic motion graphics, graphics, and photo editing beneficial, but not required• Other responsibilities, as assigned, to meet the objectives of the Creative Team, Marketing Department, and JAF as a whole• Other duties and projects as assigned by the Supervisor to support department and organizational needsQualifications• Must possess a vibrant personal relationship with Jesus Christ and agree with the Joni and Friends statement of faith• Desire to serve in a growing and dynamic Christian service ministry• Proven video editing experience• Proficient with Adobe Creative Cloud programs (Premiere Pro, Media Encoder, Bridge, Camera RAW, and Photoshop)• File management experience• Familiarity with Audio-Visual gear• Experience working with basic production gear• Familiarity with the following programs: After Effects, Audition, iZotope, OBS, ProPresenter, and Asana• Proficient with Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel)• Able to take direction and work well as part of a busy media team• Implement notes and communicate efficiently as part of a large Marketing Department• Understanding of Christian ministry and specifically Joni and Friends is desirableCompensation is $24.00 - $27.50 per hour (non-exempt) This is a hybrid position (M, Tu, Th in the office, and W, F remote)Prior to applying for any position with Joni and Friends, all applicants must review our and Mission Statement (below) and be in agreement with both.Ministry Life:Joni and Friends desire is to glorify God in the way we conduct ourselves, and in the work we do.
