[Remote] Category Specialist – Walmart

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. SBH Fashion is seeking a Category Specialist to manage modulars and provide insights for Walmart. The role involves building modular recommendations, preparing comprehensive category and item analysis reports, and conducting competitive and customer analysis to enhance product offerings and marketing strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Has capacity to manage work related to the modulars:
  • Demand clustering information and overlays (velocity, regional, distribution center, etc.)
  • Accuracy or usability on the build recommendation of demand-based cluster
  • Build modulars (displaying logic for build) based on merchant approved Walmart data
  • Make modular recommendations including measurement metrics (pack & ½, days of supply, highlights, etc.)
  • Accuracy or usability on the build / recommendation of the modular
  • Assortment recommendations by cluster/footage
  • Modular / traits in a timely manner for project stores
  • Maintains the goal for content quality score providing recommendations based on the insights in Item 360 and the product-type style guides:
  • Product name
  • Short description
  • Long description
  • Imagery
  • Required attributes
  • Recommended attributes, shelf description, prints on a flag or other needed identifiers
  • Prepares Omni Category reporting on key category metrics:
  • US economic snapshot (savings, jobs, interest rates, gas prices, unemployment, housing, wage growth, inflation)
  • Customer spending comfort (sentiment)
  • Digital household dollar penetration
  • Sales performance
  • Share, trends, gaps
  • Value (quality, familiarity, longevity, effort, price)
  • Order discounts/deals
  • Assortment – adds/deletes/position changes
  • Pre and post modular analysis
  • Prepares Omni Item Analysis reporting on key item metrics on a timely basis:
  • Sales performance
  • New item performance
  • Units / inventory position
  • Share, trends, assortment gaps
  • Item attribution – store and on-line enrichment
  • Ad Hoc – current happenings in business
  • Prepare Omni Competitive Analysis reporting on key competitive metrics:
  • Identify competitors in market
  • Competitor space analysis
  • Evaluation of social media engagement
  • Competitors customer review
  • Pricing insights
  • Evaluation of competitive online segmentation, pinning and promotions
  • Prepare Omni Customer Analysis reporting on key customer metrics:
  • Online reviews
  • Competitor reviews
  • Purchase activity data
  • Customer feedback
  • Social media
  • Website media
  • Customer service data
  • Case studies and testimonials
  • Behavior tree preparation and review to identify customers
  • Primary, secondary, quantitative, and qualitative research
